I prefer this method to parboil my brats in beer, although I had garlic brats, so didn't bother with the seasonings in the beer bath. Added raw onions to the buns. Everyone liked them!
I made this for a potluck and it went over very well. I did follow some reviewers' advice and my own tweaks: used white balsamic vinegar; valdalia onion; toasted the pine nuts; added smoked salt; added a pinch of cayenne; only had black pepper; used less than a pound of orzo. I realize that it sounds like a whole different recipe, but this was still a great salad!

These were easy and tasty - I think someone mentioned they were a bit dry at the stated temperature and time. I only broiled them for about a minute. They were a little dry, but tasty - baked chicken is always drier than fried anyway!
This was very good - although I followed some of the other reviewers' suggestions. Did not put crust on the bottom, only top. Used 2 cups frozen rhubarb and 2 cups frozen strawberries, drained the liquid and that was almost enough for the 1 cup water. Used 1/2 cup white sugar, 3/4 cups brown sugar. It was perfect size for a slightly smaller glass pan. Served with whipped cream. So good!
I made 1/2 recipe, used melted coconut oil and these turned out great. Very easy, browned nicely and made 3 waffles. Served with braised pears and whipped cream.
