This is not only great explanation of Craves ins and outs- it’s subtractive synthesis 101- excellent, excellent tutorial. Thank You very much! Best wishes ❤!
@@XNBeatsMusic I meant it from the heart. BTW, is there a way to chain patterns or to see that a pattern plays to the end of it before switching to the next chosen pattern? Thank you.
Wow man you unlocked lots of knowledge in a weekend (I spent all day with my crave and then switched to your DX7 tutorial) This content is at the level of some of the top quality paid tutorials out there!!
Wow, Thanks man. Today coffee is on you :) Well, that actually my job but, I create content for paid platforms, not about music but about SW engineering and development. Thanks for the dime and and the comments !!!
Very good tutorial, if you just got the device and don't know what to do this is the right video to watch, it covers pretty much everything you need to start using it
Thank you for an excellent educational video! After watching this and the other Crave video about the controls, I now feel like I understand how the Crave works, and I’ve quickly been able to dial in sounds I want with a lot more ease. I’m a multi instrumentalist, lately on drums and I use the Crave to play drums to, for practise. It’s nice to have a sequence loop with just a bit of slow modulation to keep it interesting for my situation. I now know about a lot of options to do just that. Again, thank you!
You can also use a BIPOLAR LED (i.e.: Blue for negative and Red for positive) and a 470 ohm resistor soldered inside a 1/8" (3.5 mm) mono Jack to check out what your outs are outputting. Possibly, in conjunction with a Y splitter or a TipTop Stackcable. Red-ish will indicate a more positive-ish value. Blue-ish will indicate a more negative-ish value. Purple-ish will indicate a more changing (noise/audio signals) value. 5 minute-ish DIY project. I did about 30 of these in about 60 minutes. Because I ran out of components.
Thanks !for the donation !!!!...Today's coffee is sponsored by you. I am trying to get one, but the price needs to be right. If I find one on the used market, I promise I'll make a deep dive.
I didn’t notice a section talking about sending clock in via MIDI to the Crave. If I missed it could you point me to the section of the video it’s in? Or advise me? 🙏
Thanks a lot for the video! : ) Can you make a short video on patching two synths together ... for example the Crave and the Neutron ( Edge, TD-3 ) so absolute beginners like me can know which outs go to which ins for an interesting result. : ) Or at least if It's ok , to share some in the comments. Thanks!

Your tutorials are just flat-out awesome--I watch them through (usually just a few sections at a time), then go back to them as video references.
I will be using this video to help teach my grandkids about synthesis. Thanks.

Def going to try. I've been using a cheap $30 amazon digital oscilloscope using the VCF out. Great for seeing waveforms without a daw.

Great video. Thanks
Any suggestions regarding using the patchbay with the Volca Modular?
I was wondering if the CRAVE is able to create a lush synth sound.
What about VC MIX In ?
what happens if i plug a mic into ext audio in?
The notes you are playing as an example totally remind me of the melody of "Kernkraft 400" by Zombie Nation 😂
C - Eb - F - G - C
Hahahaa yeah, right ? The only thing missing are the girls from the video.
Not too young for the Gremlin analogy!
